Itinerary

Day 01: Paro

Arrive Paro International Airport and pick up by our team members and then take you to hotel.

Visit Kyichhu Lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries that were built by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo during 7th Century. Towards evening take a stroll in the town. Overnight at hotel in Paro.

Day 02: Paro to Thimphu (Approxi 1hr drive)

Enroute visit Tachogang Lhakhang  (monastery). In Thimphu visit Semtokha Dzong (the oldest and first fort in the Country built in 1629 by the founding father of Bhutan Zhabdrung Nawang Namgyel), Memorial Chorten (built in memory of the Third King) and Changangkha Monastery.

Also visit Royal Takin Preserve (national animal of Bhutan) and Buddha Point Halt at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 03: Sight seeing in Thimphu

Thimphu sightseeing includes: Folk Heritage Museum, Traditional School of 13 Arts and Crafts and Institute of Traditional Medicine, Centenary Farmers market, Jungshi Paper factory , Royal Textile Museum, Handicrafts shops, Tashi Chodzong (the present day Head Quarters of the King, and also summer residence of the Chief Abbot of the Central Monastic Body).

Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 04: Thimphu to Punakha (Approx 4hrs drive)

Travel to Punakha with stoppage at Dochu la Pass to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Himalaya mountain range as well as to see the Druk Wangyal Chortens-108 stupa. Later visit Chime Lhakhang (the fertility temple) and Punakha Dzong (built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Nawang Namgyel and all important functions including coronation of Kings of Bhutan are held). Halt at hotel in Punakha.

Day 05: Punakha to Phobjikha (Approx 4hrs drive)

Enroute see Wangduephodrang Dzong reconstruction works and later arrive Phobjikha (one of the most beautiful valleys of the Himalayas).  Halt at homestays in Phobjikha.

Day 06: Phobjikha sightseeing

Explore Phobjikha valley by visiting Gangtey Goempa and then Nature hikes that passes through pristine conifer forests, village helmets and wide valleys harbouring the Black necked cranes (October-March) from China and also visit the Crane Information centre.

Overnight at homestay/hotel in Phobjikha.

Day 07: Phobjikha to Paro (Approx 5hrs drive)

Travel to Paro and visit National Museum, then 17th Century Rinpung Dzong and take a walk over typical Bhutanese cantilever bridge to the town. Overnight at hotel in Paro.

Day 08: Sight seeing in Paro and visit to Taktshang monastery.

Visit Taktshang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery where Guru Rinpochhe is believed to have flown here on the back of a tigress to spread Buddhism in 746 A.D. The round trip takes about 4 hour hike. For those who cannot hike to view from the road point.

Later visit Drugyel Dzong, or “Castle of the Victorious Drukpa . Overnight at hotel in Paro.

Day 09: Departure

Drive to the airport for onward departure.

– Low Season rate (Dec, Jan, Feb, Jun, Jul & Aug) : USD 840/person 1640
– Single room supplement: USD 240/-

– Single (individual) – US$ 40 per night  
– Group of 2 person – US$ 30/person/night

– Twin share/double in Bhutanese 3-star hotel accommodation (4/5 star entails extra charge).
– All meals, tea, snacks and bottled water
– A licensed professional tour guide
– All internal transport (excluding internal flights)
– Camping equipment and haulage for trekking tours
– All entrance fees and visa fees (USD40/-)
– A Sustainable Development Fee (SDF of USD 65 per person per night included within the costs except for Eastern Bhutan). 
– On the day of departure, the local agents shall be limited to providing breakfast only and any extra requirements shall be payable on usage basis.

– Items of a personal nature, phone calls, laundry, hard drinks, etc
– Tipping for guide & driver
– Wire transfer fee for transferring tour payment from your bank to Bhutan
– Travel Insurance – mandatory  for trekking.
