Government regulations require that your full tour payment be deposited before your visa can be processed. Once the full tour payments are deposited, then the money gets transferred to the account of the Tourism Council of Bhutan, who releases the amount only after the invoices are submitted.

Cancellation charges (Land charges):
Your Bhutan land arrangements are subject to the cancellation fees below.
Deposit until 30 days prior to the start of the tour: Free
30 days to 15 days prior to the start of the tour: 15% of the tour costs
15 days to 1day prior to the start of the tour: 30% of the tour costs
1 day or less on the day of the start of the tour: No Refund
Note: In above cases when we need to provide refunds, the actual bank charges + administrative charges of USD 25/- will be deducted.
Delayed departure/arrival: There shall be no fixed charge for the number of days of delay in arrival of visitors due to weather conditions, Druk Air problems or road blocks except for minimum charge on hotel cancellation, transport & guide.
Cancellation charges (Airlines):
Your flight tickets, if bought, are governed by a separate Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines cancellation policy. Tickets are generally valid for one year from the date of issue and are subject to the following cancellation and refund rules:
– 50% refund permitted for tickets cancelled more than 30 days from the date of travel – 25% refund permitted for tickets cancelled more than 15 days from the date of travel – Refund not permitted for tickets cancelled less than 15 days from the date of travel – Refund will not be applicable if tickets are purchased on discounted fare or otherwise specified. – An administration fee of $25 per ticket will be applied for all cancelled tickets
